Bhubaneswar, October 6, 2006: POSCO-India, the Indian subsidiary of the third largest steel manufacturer in the world, today reinstated its website www.posco-india.com.
This full-fledged informational website reaffirms POSCO-India’s serious commitment to the project and people. The website also attempts to strengthen transparent business dealings and recruitment procedures.
The versatile website features adequate and updated information on the company’s background. The portal highlights the USD 12 billion POSCO-India project and features various aspects like Investment details, Technology, etc. as these are of high interest for the people. In addition, it has comprehensive information on career and procurement section for interested parties. An elaborate ‘Press Room’ detailing out all media related information vis-à-vis the project has been integrated for the benefit of the visitors.
Besides, POSCO-India’s sustainability initiatives along with information on the network of POSCO’s global and India offices are available. The home page is interactive in nature and at the same time intends to provide accurate details on the project.
Speaking on the website, Mr.Soung-Sik-Cho, CMD, POSCO-India said that, “Sharing information is vital, and this website will act as a channel of information for all our stakeholders. Soon, POSCO-India plans to have an Oriya version exclusively meant for the local visitors.” He further added that, “this website is another step towards ensuring transparent business and recruitment practices in POSCO-India.”

POSCO-India Private Limited is a subsidiary of POSCO, the world’s No. 3 steel producer and one of the most competitive steel companies. POSCO signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Orissa in June 2005, to set up a 12-mtpa green field steel plant near Paradip, Jagatsinghpur District, Orissa, with an estimated investment of USD12 billion. The company will build a 4 million tons capacity steel plant in Orissa, during the first phase of its project between 2007 and 2010 and expand the final production volume to 12 million tons. POSCO-India Pvt. Ltd. was incorporated in 25th August 2005 with the Registrar of Companies, Orissa, under the Companies Act 1956.
