POSCO-India launches Oriya Version of its Website

First full- fledged Oriya corporate website
To act as an effective channel of information for the local people

Bhubaneswar, December 2, 2006: POSCO-India, the Indian subsidiary of the 3rd largest steel manufacturer in the world, today launched the Oriya version of its website. The site can be accessed at http://posco-india.com/oriya/

The versatile website features adequate and updated information on the company's background. The portal highlights the USD 12 billion POSCO-India project and features various aspects like Investment details, Technology, etc. as these are of high interest for the people. In addition, it has comprehensive information on career and procurement section for interested parties. An elaborate 'Press Room' detailing out all media related information vis-à-vis the project has been integrated for the benefit of the visitors.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Soung-Sik-Cho, CMD, POSCO-India said that, “Sharing of information is vital, and this Oriya version of our website will act as an effective channel of information for the people of Orissa, especially from the plant site area. It is intended to be a platform for two-way communication between the company and its stakeholders.”

By launching its website in Oriya, POSCO-India reaffirms its serious commitment to the project and people of Orissa. In addition to all other media, this website goes further to convey company’s sincere intention to communicate in a transparent manner with all possible stakeholders. Like its English counter part the Oriya version also has interactive facilities and the visitors can send their queries or suggestions for the company’s consideration.
