Synopsis: POSCO-India has made a scheme for providing training to the locals for increasing their employability. Thirty four trainees of the first batch are already undergoing their six month training from December 7, 2006.The second batch of training has started from 4th January, 2007.

POSCO launches training for youth
Synopsis: On 4th January, POSCO-India launched vocational training for the youths of the plant site area. As many as 23 trainees in the age group of 18-30 years would undergo six months training in house wiring and electrician jobs at Jagatsinghpur.
The company said some 400 jobs would be generated during the construction works for which the locals would be given preference.
