Synopsis:
In a bid to convince the locals of its good intentions, POSCO-India, on 29th January took the leading role in the three day district level camp for polio corrective surgery at Jagatsinghpur. Incidentally last year the company organised a cleft-lip and palate correction surgery camp the first of its kind in the state for the children of Jagatsinghpur and cured 27 children. Keeping in line with its corporate sustainable management, the company has taken up the cause of young children with specific needs.


The surgeries, starting Jan 29th will continue till Wednesday. About 100 children are likely to undergo surgery and will be under observation for a week of post surgery. A total of 175 children from eight blocks have been identified all across Jagatsinghpur.
