Bhubaneswar, August 31, 2007: POSCO-India CMD, Mr. Soung-Sik Cho along with senior company officials visited the project site, mainly Nuagaon, Gada Kujanga and Noliasahi in Jagatsinghpur area on 31^st August and interacted with the villagers. He received overwhelming welcome and was taken to the site in a procession by the local people. 

Escorted by the community members, he offered prayer at the Mahavir Temple at Nuagaon, and had interaction with more than 150 the villagers, present there. He then moved to Gadakujanga village, received by more than 250 people with cheers. He also offered prayer at the Raghunathjew temple. Addressing the villagers there, he assured that the project will bring development for each and every person in the area. The villages in both the villages conveyed their support for the project and wished that the project would take shape soon.

CMD’s visit has strengthened the hope of the project getting started and heightened the morale of project supporters. Later on, he had a discussion with BDO of Erasama, Mr. Muralidhar Swain on the progress of the project and thanked him for his support.
