Synopsis: POSCO-India while trying to allure the locals has made some announcements despite opposition for the project in Paradeep. CMD, POSCO-India, Mr. Soung Sik Cho, said that the company will provide one employment to displaced families and also families losing all agricultural land.
Mr. Priyabrata Pattnaik, Nodal Officer, POSCO-India Project said that we are certain of POSCO-India’s commitment towards the local community.
It is to be noted that the company is facing stiff opposition from the locals at the Paradeep. The locals are bent upon of not leaving their homestead & agricultural land. Though the company has signed MoU in the year 2005 it has not yet acquired the land.
