POSCO-India - Batch III Vocational Training concludes successfully
Bhubaneswar, September 28, 2007:
On 28 September 2007, Certificate Award Ceremony was held for the batch III trainees, a group of 25 young women, who underwent a company sponsored, six months vocational training in tailoring and designing in Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences(KISS) under KIIT Deemed University in Bhubaneswar, Orissa. These women belong to the affected villages falling under POSCO-India’s project area.
Speaking on the occasion, CMD, POSCO-India said that the “welfare of the families under our project area has always been high on our priority list and we are continuously making efforts in this direction.” Wishing the successful trainees all the best for future, he further added that the training will empower them to face life with confidence and dignity.”
With the completion of this batch, a total of 82 youth from Jagatsinghpur have been trained by POSCO-India in vocational trades for better employability.
