Synopsis: In a major breakthrough for the POSCO project, about 300 people from the proposed POSCO site village, Govindpur converged at the Loknath Temple at Paradipgarh on 25th April and took oath to support the project and fight against those who are opposing it and creating breach of peace in the village.

Losing confidence on Police & the Administration the families of Govindpur who are perceived as pro-POSCO people sought the blessings of the Almighty at the temple seeking help to fight the anti-POSCO group.

This development assumes significance as the POSCO supporters have finally reorganized themselves against the opposition groups. Many project sympathizers have decided to organize a demonstration in front of the Collector’s office at Jagatsinghpur demanding early starting of the project work and stringent action against those who are creating disturbance in the proposed project site villages.

On the other hand, the activists of PPSS also conducted meeting at Dhinkia village to carry forward their struggle against the POSCO project.
