Synopsis: Socio-economic survey and land demarcation was successfully completed in two of the three Gram Panchayats located in the proposed plant site of POSCO on 10th February amidst heavy police deployment. The survey work and land demarcation was completed in Nuagaon Gram Panchayat on 10th February, while the exercise was over in four villages of Gada Kujanga Panchayat on 9th February. The revenue officials were also conducting simultaneous survey of betel vines and forest areas during the ongoing exercise, sources said assign that around 900 pillars have so far been erected for land demarcation.
