It has taken almost six years for our company to get an environment clearance on 2nd May, 2011 after signing of MOU in June, 2005.
But we believe that before starting construction of the plant we should have all the required statutory clearances as we believe to follow all the laws and regulations of Government of India in letter and spirit.
I have been vigorously participating in the successful construction and operation of steel plants for more than 30 years in Korea. With this “experience of success”, I will try my best to make POSCO-India the most competitive steel company and through this project as a harbinger of change, usher in economic growth and development all around the steel plant.
As a member of Global POSCO family, POSCO-India will follow the management philosophy of POSCO and will set a winning model between local community and corporate stakeholders. I commit myself will all humility and sincerity to record another success story with my colleagues in POSCO-India and by invoking reciprocal trust and partnership of all stakeholders especially the local community.
I am an optimist that with the start of New Year, 2013 the dream of POSCO-India will be transformed into the dream of all the stakeholders. Together we strive to accomplish our dreams and goals to bring greater benefit & prosperity to all.
