Synopsis: POSCO-India moved a step closer to its proposed site today by establishing an office at Kujanga to deal with issues related to communication, rehabilitation and resettlement.
Speaking during the inauguration of the office, Mr. Soung-Sik Cho, CMD, POSCO-India said “Our goal is to design an adequate and fair R&R package and to adopt a suitable CSR programme, thereby extending direct and indirect benefits to the local people.”
Through the new office, POSCO plans to work continuously towards proliferation of facts and address the needs of the families, directly and indirectly affected by the steel plant.
